1.
It's up to wicked thoughts backed by an axe in hand making the greatest deeds truly have value. I desecrated beauty. Trigger now. I'll have your wrath justified. Deep within we are all the same. I found a weakness that still dwells in me, that in the others I also see. So observant to it while they're not. For that I'm strong. Forge without flame, forcing my way, being rightly accused. (How's that for philosophy?) Fix what I break, going to make a rightly accused guilty as charged. Falling tears as fake as idols they are falling for. Call me an iconoclast. They were all wrong. Rave for rebirth. Reform the world. Whereas I sacrifice myself for a thousand songs. But if you think I won't put up a fight, as so many 'fore you had fantasied, that should be like digging your own grave, down where I'll smite you away now. Forge without flame, forcing my way, being rightly accused. (How's that for philosophy?) Fix what I break, going to make the rightly accused (go straight to hell) -- Behold the eye of the beholder. Ripped off and open, still no beauty found inside. They say I kill for fun. How little they know. I kill the fun just for the kill -- Forge without flame, forcing my way, being rightly accused. (How's that for philosophy?) Fix what I break, going to make the rightly accused (go straight to hell) Greatness is to be found by me. Better be on your guard.

about

From an old "drawer riff" to decently produced proper song. For their second official release Everture wanted to show something different. Rightly Accused introduces a bit heavier side from the bands catalog; first one to have some lead harsh vocals and very simple heavy comping, something fun to bang your head to. As contrast to this, the song has more lively structure to it.

The song views the perspective of objectively bad person. Someone who hurts others knowing that it's wrong and justifies it by a twisted philosofy.
Matti: "To me it's about TRYING to understand what goes on in the worst kind of wrongdoers mind. The initial idea came from the TV-series Vikings when the vikings raid a monastery and there was just something shocking in the way that a character Floki looks at his soon to be victims and then I kind of recalled the old riff and soon with the help from the guys, we had a song.
It's also worth mentioning that in the television series Game of Thrones lady Margaery states: 'Sometimes severity is the price we pay for greatness.' and king Joffrey replies with unseen honesty: I couldn't agree more.' This is very close to what the song is about."
