At very early stages of making this song the band knew this one was going to hit some form of succes, like maybe 100 000 listens on Spotify in a year...well the 100k line was crossed before a month had passed and the number will most likely be half a million before the 1 year mark.

Everture's second studio session included two songs: Righty Accused and Long Way Down, both of which had been lying in nightstand drawer (guitar pro MIDI files) as drafts for several years (2014-ish). For songs that are older than the band itself, they fit surprisingly well with the band's style. Especially Long Way Down. The song represents the more lightweight side of all the material the band has to offer. Clearly the bigger audiences got interested in Everture because of this song. Hearing it for example in Finnish hockey league games was a nice surprise and a very welcome one.

LWD lyricwise is a denouncing to a person who changed their good values to self importance and greed and their way is one that you can't follow. Telling them, that the climb of chasing vanial advantages will ultimately lead to their fall...and it's a long way down.
